(Decaleurs are traditional quick release mounts for handlebar bags. Unlike some modern bag mounts, they keep the bag low for better handling and to keep the handlebars clear.

They are mounted on the fork below the headset lock nut and fit 1" or 1-1/8" forks. They are made of stainless steel and the workmanship is first rate.

Our decaleurs work with Berthoud, TA, Ostrich, LaFuma, and most other traditional-style handlebar bags.

Please remember that a decaleur is intended as a quick release mechanism, not to support the full weight of the bag. So the bag must still rest on a rack or on the fender.

Note, that these decaleurs use metric 5mm posts and receivers. The new bag mounts can be used in the old-style 1/4" receivers, but not the other way round.)
